What to Expect
Swedish Massage- Relaxing Massage using a variety of long gliding strokes of your desired pressure.  Good for stress relief, pain management, immune stimulation and relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage -More specific than the Swedish massage this work focuses on your problem areas. It is excellent for eliminating tension from your body, reducing muscle tightness and pain.   Techniques used may include trigger point therapy, myofacial release, neuromuscular re-education, and active release stretching.

Therapeutic Stone Massage  ($10 upgrade)  -This treatment involves the application of  heated basalt stones of varying sizes to key points on the body, giving a deep massage and creating sensations of comfort and warmth. The direct heat relaxes muscles, allowing manipulation of a greater intensity than with regular massage. When there is an injury or inflammation, cooling marble stones are used. This helps the body detoxify  and heal.  Aromatherapy is a wonderful add-on to this treatment!

Couples Massage Class:  We are now offering a couples massage session.  What is this?  You and your significant other can come in and learn how to give each other a great massage!  The session lasts about 1  hour and you each will give and receive the massage with some helpful tips and pointers from me.  If you are interested in this service give us a call to set up your appointment.  The cost for this service will be $65.

Chair Massage: Stress management! 15 minute minimum, in a specially designed chair to focus on the upper body and stress areas.  $1 per minute.

Aromatherapy Massage: ($15 Add-on) to any massage for a blend designed just for you.

Therapeutic Stretching: 50 min or 25 minute sessions focusing on your problem areas. We will show you specific stretches for your work or lifestyle challenges. Try combining a 1/2 hour massage with 1/2 hour focused stretching program for complete relief of areas of tension and pain.

Pre/Post-Natal Massage: Pillows are used to comfortably position the mother on the table in a side-lying position.  This massage will be tailored to the specific needs of the client in either the prenatal or postnatal state, to aid in relieving the discomforts of the mother’s changing body and to aid in relaxation.

Lymphatic MassageThis massage modality is lightest in pressure.  The light strokes help improve the flow of lymphatic fluid in the body and can be used to drain excess lymph from areas of swelling.  Lymphatic massage is beneficial to anyone experiencing edema (swelling) especially after surgery.

Massage Services
When you arrive for your first appointment we ask that you fill out a short client information sheet and release for our records. If your therapist is in session when you arrive feel free to browse the information and products we have displayed in the waiting area.

When your appointment time has arrived, your therapist will greet you and take you back to the treatment room for a short consultation about what your needs are for this massage session.

Other than Shiatsu and chair massage, all modalities will require you to remove your clothing. The therapist will step out of the room while you undress and slip under the sheets that will be on the table for draping. Your modesty will be protected at all times, and only the body part that is being worked on will be exposed at that time. So, if your arm is being worked on the therapist will uncover the arm, work on it, then re-drape it.

At the conclusion of the massage session the therapist will leave the room to allow you to dress and come out of the room. Payment will be processed at the end of your session.

It is very important to drink extra water after a massage to help assist the body in flushing out the metabolic wastes that may have been released during the massage. If you are not drinking enough water you may begin to feel nauseated, have a headache, or you may be sore and achy afterwards. If you feel any of these things it is important to drink more water.

If you have any questions please feel free to call and speak with a therapist. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
